I am the mother of two boys and a daughter, ages ranging from 4-10.
I come from a large of family of 11 siblings. Growing up, I took care of younger brothers, which was tough at times. But that helped develop my motherhood skills at a very early age. I know how important your baby's first years are. It is a critical time of discovery and growth. My childcare specializes in building self esteem, integrated health, safety and self help skills. I use positive reinforcement, redirection and guidance that is a developmentally appropriate program for infants and toddlers.
I have an associate degree in radiography and I worked in a hospital for 5 years until I started helping my sister on the weekends with her kids. Later, I realized that I enjoyed working with children and before you know it, I quite my hospital job as a professional x-ray technologist, and decided to become a childcare provider. I have the skills and qualifications to care for young children., It is very important to me that I go below the surface and really learn about all the children and how they develop as a whole person. I am also working towards obtaining my CDA credential and subsequently the Facility Accreditation thorough NAFCC. At the same time, I am involved with many local organizations that support childcare providers.

We have lived in Kingstowne and the island creek community for over 9 years. In order to make our family child care home the perfect place for children to blossom, we needed to design the environment around the children. It is a quiet and a very safe neighborhood. I have an outside fenced play ground, a large playroom, full of development appropriate toys and educational materials, separate room to sleep and eating.
Finally, I will insure that I will provide your child with everything that he or she needs to flourish in all aspects of development. Your child will be safe, happy and learn activities involved in our program.
